The cost of the 3 Day Training course is £650 +VAT and consists of the following training schedule. This cost also includes one year’s free membership of the Federation for the full fee paying student completing a purchase on their fish and chip shop business. :

DAY ONE
11:30am - 7:00pm

  Raw materials, mushy peas, frying medium management
 
DAY  TWO
9:00am - 4:00pm
Food safety including HACCP
Premises, pest control and cleaning methods
Practical session (fish, potato and batter preparation, cooking fish & chips)

Meal Break

Cleaning of prep and frying area
Recap on practical sessions
  Health & Safety
  4.00pm – 5.30pm Food safety and/or Health & safety examinations (if applicable)
 
DAY  THREE
9:00am - 4:30pm
Keeping accounts
Planning your working day in a business
Filtering machine demonstration
Practical session (fish, potato and batter preparation, cooking fish and chips)
Meal break
Marketing and customer service
Cleaning of prep and frying area
Packaging and portion control
