Regular Fish Friers Review columnist has been in the pink recently, so much so that his chip shop has followed suit and all in the name of a good cause.
Staff, family and friends got together on Sunday 8th January and painted the chippy bright pink inside and out, to support and help raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Roland will now invite people who have been touched by cancer, either as survivors or who have lost someone, to create a pink heart (for a minimum donation of £2:00) and write a name and message onto it.
These messages will then be suspended from the ceiling in the shop for all to see.
Roland comments on how this colourful fundraising idea has been supported by the local community:
"The shop is now candy floss pink and we all wanted to lick the walls as it looks so good! The paint was donated by local builder's merchants, Travis Perkins of Helston. Two other companies, South West Drainage and Decorating Divas, came down to help with the painting also".
