 NFFF AGM Wigan 2010
Despite the heatwave – delegates stayed cool
The 74th Annual General Meeting of the NFFF took place at the Wrightington Hotel and Country Club, Wigan on Sunday 23rd May 2010. Located less than 5 minutes drive from the M6 and set in a beautiful agricultural landscape, this lovely modern hotel provided an ideal and easily accessible venue for this year’s meeting and the President’s Banquet and Ball later that evening. The sun shone the whole day long and whilst temperatures were soaring outside, inside the air conditioning kept everyone from getting hot under the collar.
The event this year was hosted and organised by the North West Area Council, to whom we would all like to say a huge thank you. We would also like to make a special mention for Mrs Marjory and Mr Denis Jevons who organised the whole function and ensured that everything ran with military precision. This was even with the added pressure of attending to the needs of the BBC who were filming the evening’s proceedings at the banquet and ball. Got your attention now haven’t I! Read on and more will be revealed. Story By: Karen Clark
