Following the extensive publicity given to the statement issued by the Seafish Industry Authority that fish prices will increase due to the impact of rising fuel prices, we would like to reassure all Fish and Chips fans that this will not inevitably lead to a large price increase in their favourite meal.

The average price increase predicted by the Seafish Industry Authority is around 23% and whilst this would inevitably affect the costs of your local fish and chip shop it is unlikely to lead to above average price increase in fish and chips as compared to alternative take away meals.

We expect Fish and Chips to remain as Britain’s favourite meal offering a nutritious, additive free and tasty meal and continuing to offer the best value of all Take Away meals.
