David Miller elected NFFF Regional Director

The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) are delighted to announce that David Miller, co-owner of Millers Fish & Chips, Haxby, York has been elected to the Board as a Regional Director for England at the recent NFFF AGM at the Village Hotel in Ashton-under-Lyne.

David Miller has been involved in the fish and chip industry, managing his family shop Millers Fish & Chips, for over 30 years, with his wife Lesley and son Nick, who joined the business in 2015. Millers Fish & Chips are currently the UK’s No 1 Independent Takeaway, National Fish and Chip Awards 2018 and Winners of North East of England Region.

David has a drive and a passion to help support the fish and chip industry and the NFFF. Millers Fish & Chips have been a member of the NFFF for 32 years and have held the NFFF Quality Award continuously since its beginning in 1997.

Alongside his new role as a NFFF Board of Director, David will continue to provide training on behalf of the NFFF both at the NFFF Training Academy and In Shop Training as a NFFF approved trainer, a role which he has held for over 2 years.

  • Mr Andrew Crook was re-elected as NFFF President, Mr Craig Maw was re-elected as NFFF Vice-President and Mr Alan Hanna was re-elected as National Treasurer.
  • The elected Regional Directors for England will now be Mr Craig Buckley – The Fish Bar, Miss Lesley Graves – Burton Road Chippy, Miss Caroline Murphy – The Wetherby Whaler and Mr David Miller – Millers Fish and Chips.
  • Mr Hugh Mantle has been co-opted back on to the Board in order to retain the key skills he can provide to the NFFF as a whole.
  • Mr Alan Hanna was re-elected for NFFF Regional Director for Northern Ireland.
  • Mr John Penaluna was re-elected for NFFF Regional Director for Wales.
  • Mr Colin Cromar was re-elected for NFFF Regional Director for Scotland.
