It must be award season as The Elite Fish & Chip Companyhas netted a whopping four nominations in two different national business awards!

The Lincolnshire-based chain of fish and chip restaurants and takeaways has been nominated for three National Family Business Awardsand has also been revealed as a national finalist for the Family Business of the Year category in the FSB & Worldpay UK Business Awards.

Rachel Tweedale, Manager at the Elite’s Sleaford restaurant, said: "We’re bowled over by the amount of nominations we’ve been shortlisted for.

"We’ve been named as finalists in the Best to Work For, Big Heart and Family Business of the Year categories at the NFBAs. After winning the East Midlands Family Business of the Year title in the Worldpay Awards, we’ve now been told we are the national finalists too!”

The nominations come after a busy year for the Tweedale family, who won several awards last year including Heart of the Community at the Lincolnshire Media Business Awards and a special recognition title for its dedication to the seafood industry at the Red Ribbon Family Business Awards.

Rachel added: "We’re really proud to be nominated. To get shortlisted for three Family Business Place awards is fantastic and to also reach the last stage of the Worldpay Awards is a real achievement for us.

"It’s down to our hard-working staff and loyal customers that we’ve got this far. If everyone could cross their fingers for us, we’ll try to bring back as many titles as we can to Lincolnshire!”

Rachel and her team will be heading to the FSB & Worldpay UK Business Awards final on 10th May at Shakespeare’s Globe, London. They will then make the trip down to Wembley Arena for the National Family Business Awards on July 15th.
