The Bay Fish & Chips, a pioneering fish and chip business, is celebrating after reaching the finals of the Compass Group UK and Ireland annual awards.

The awards were announced on 21 September 2016 at a glittering gala dinner at the capital’s premier convention centre, ExCel London, which was hosted by Irish comedian and television presenter Dara O’Briain. The awards, which are in their third year, celebrate the outstanding contribution the suppliers make to the success of Compass Group UK and Ireland.

Being one of only five finalists in the Sector Supplier of the Year category recognises The Bay Fish & Chip’s strong partnership with Compass Group UK and Ireland, for the distribution of its award-winning Premium Bay Batter across on and offshore sectors.

The bespoke batter, which is accessible and free of any additives or artificial colourings, is distributed to the restaurants and military messes across the whole of the defence and offshore sector and government services, with several thousands of employees and high-ranking officials eating it on ‘Fish Friday’ every week.
