9am- 12 noon - Fire Safety
The three hour course covers the statutory requirements for staff relating to fire safety andat the end of this course your staff will know how to react in the event of a fire.
Attendees will cover the following topics:

Understand how fires start – the fire triangle

• Identify fire hazards in the workplace
• Practice and promote fire prevention
• Act in the event of a fire
• Differentiate between fire extinguishers and their uses

1pm- 3pm – Safer Manual Handling

This three hour course has been developed to provide and protect employees and employers from risk and injury.

Attendees will cover the following topics:

Legislation and responsibilities of the employee/employer regarding manual handling

• Conduct a Dynamic risk assessment
• Demonstrate proper lifting techniques
• Safely move and handle both stable and unstable loads
• Apply ergonomic principles in the workplace
• Identify preventative measures for Slips, Trips and Falls

Tuesday 27thOctober & Wednesday 18th November 2015

9am – 4pm – 1 Day Emergency First Aid @ Work

The 1 day course is designed to offer a good basic knowledge of first aid and provide necessary lifesaving skills. It is Ofqual approved that complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The learner will be continually assessed through-out the day and on successful completion will receive a recognised Certificate that is valid for 3 years.

Syllabus:

• Action in an Emergency
• Record keeping
• First Aid Box contents
• Unconsciousness
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Burns and Scalds
• Wounds/ Bleeding and Shock
• Choking
• Minor Injuries

The cost of each course is as follows:

Fire Safety £40.00 per person

Safer Manual Handling £45.00 per person

Emergency First Aid @ Work £60.00 per person

If the Fire Safety and the Safer Manual Handling are booked together at the same time both courses would be £80.00 a saving of £5.00 per person

If all 3 courses are booked at the same time all they would be £135.00 a saving of £10.00

Booking is on a first come first serve basis.

Places are limited to a maximum of 12 people per course and course fees would need to be paid in full to confirm a booking. Please note there are no refunds on any cancellations.
