BRITAIN’S BEST FISH AND CHIP SHOP UNVEILS COMEDY CUT-OUT TO CELEBRATE QUAYSIDE EXPRESS


Britain’s best fish and chip shop,Quayside, Whitby unveiled their specially commissioned retro cut out at Pickering station this Friday, and locals and visitors to Pickering Station thought it was just the ticket.

The cut out creation, with spaces for funny faces was commissioned by Quaysideto celebrate their link up with North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) This summer Quayside and NYMR launched the Quayside Express, where passengers can hop on board a vintage steam train between Pickering and Whitby and enjoy a scrumptious fish supper, complete with Quayside’s famous homemade batter, sustainable fish and mushy peas, on the return trip.

This winter will see the special vintage Quayside Express train make four special fish and chip journeys to Whitby between December 28 and February 22.

Danielle Ramsey from NYMR and the Fusco family got into the spirit at the unveiling on Friday December 12.

Speaking at the event, Carol Fusco, founder of Quayside, named ‘Best in Britain’ in the National Fish and Chip Awards 2014, said: "It’s been an honour to join forces with such a prestigious heritage railway and we like to think we’re bringing back a taste of the traditional fun and food of the seaside that makes it such a special place to visit.”
