National Federation of Fish Friers Limited; Established Since 1913

The National Federation of Fish Friers Works to Promote and Protect the Interests of some 8,500 Fish and Chip Shop Proprietors throughout the United Kingdom.

The NFFF also offers training for those who wish to enter the fish and chip trade.


Next year marks the 150th anniversary of the marriage of Fish with Chips. To mark this event the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), in conjunction with our partners in the industry are planning a year of promotional activities.

Atlantic Fast Food Scoops UK TitleGlasgow shop crowned UK’s top chippy in national competition
A Glasgow fish and chip shop has won the national Fish & Chip Shop of the Year competition. Owner Giovanni Fionda, and his mum and dad, Ida and Raphael Fionda were presented with the coveted trophy by TV chef Aldo Zilli at a ceremony at the Riverbank Park Plaza Hotel in London.

Giovanni was crowned champion after a rigorous judging process which included a customer vote, taste tests, two intense rounds of shop inspections and a presentation to a panel of industry experts.

Young Penrith Fish Frier Nets Prestigious Industry Award

Daniel Harding Wins Prestigious Industry AwardDaniel Harding of Angel Lane Chippie in Penrith, has been named the Young Fish Frier of the Year at the national Fish & Chip Shop of the Year competition.

The 21-year-old defeated four other contenders to claim the title and was presented with his award at the competition final on 21 January at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London by popular celebrity chef, Aldo Zilli.

Directions:
The Hotel is located just off Junction 27 of the M6.  
Head towards Parbold on A5209.
The Hotel is sign-posted from this road.  
Turn onto Moss Lane and the Hotel is 200 yards on the right.

There is a large car park available.

The nearest main railway stations to the hotel are Wigan Wallgate and Wigan North West.  Both are approximately six miles from the hotel, a taxi service is available.

From the motorway proceed along the A5209 towards Parbold.  
After the BP Garage and St. Joseph’s church, turn right into Moss Lane.

Room charges for overnight stay Saturday or Sunday 22nd or 23rd May as follows:
